About Rainbow Station:
Rainbow Station is home to the popular tourist route Rainbow-Hamner Road. It is also home to a large scale farming operation and our honey bees. A drive through Rainbow Road will open your eyes to the magnificent pristine beauty the South Island of New Zealand has to offer. Mountain ranges for as far as the eye can see, clear rivers that flow through the center of the valley, hidden waterfalls created by the melting snow and the beauty of all things New Zealand is known and loved for. We really believe Rainbow Station is a little slice of heaven.
Rainbow Station was previously owned and operated by Lone Star Farms Ltd, the Cropp Family Trust took over the lease in 2016. Rainbow Station now adds to Managing Director, Philip Cropp’s already vast and humbly successful businesses that all share the same morals and are strongly focused on health and preservation in various parts of the South Island of New Zealand. The Cropp family began this venture back in the 1800’s when Philip’s grandfather started producing honey from hives at Rainbow Station and the St Arnaud area.

Nelson Honey 品牌故事
Nelson Honey draws on three generations of beekeeping and honey production experience to offer you the best New Zealand bee products. Formed in 1973, family-owned company Nelson Honey & Marketing (NZ) Ltd is owned and operated by Philip Cropp. Philip’s grandfather started producing honey from hives in the Nelson area as a side business to his fruit orchard more than 100 years ago.
Over the past four decades the company has grown substantially in terms of production volume, international exports and product diversification. From a one-man apiary producing a small selection of honeys in Motupiko, 50kms south of Nelson city, Nelson Honey is now a large employer in the region with operations in Motupiko, Tapawera, the Marlborough Sounds, and Hokitika on the West Coast.
In conjunction with their sister companies Rainbow Honey Ltd and Scenicland Honey Ltd, they now have well over 5,000 hives sited throughout pristine wilderness areas in the Top of the South and along the West Coast of New Zealand.
